DESCRIPTION

Kalanchoe Farinacea is a color pencil drawing on medium tooth vellum paper. The work was done using a circular burnishing lawyering technique with minor black ink for  additional contrasts. Approximately 17 hours of creation.

INTERPRETATION

Kalanchoe Farinacea was drawn by Shawn Malzahn while incarcerated during the spring of 2010 as a gift for his mother on Mother's Day.
