DESCRIPTION

Sunrise Pyramid is a color pencil drawing on medium tooth vellum paper. The work was done using a circular burnishing lawyering technique with minor engraving for additional highlights. Approximately 10 hours of creation.

INTERPRETATION

Sunrise Pyramid was drawn by Shawn Malzahn during the fall of 2021 as a gift for his mother. The pyramid represent the wholeness and completeness of God coming forth as the radiant Sun, giving  life to all that is beautiful, which is as enumerable as the grains in all of sand.
