DESCRIPTION
Spirit of the Rose is a color pencil drawing on medium tooth vellum paper. The work was done using a circular burnishing lawyering technique with minor engraving for additional highlights. Approximately 16 hours of creation.
INTERPRETATION
Spirit of the Rose was drawn by Shawn Malzahn while incarcerated during the spring of 2022 as a symbolic representation of God’s androgynous spirit overlooking and guiding the direction of the Green Rose Organization.
