ONE LIFE ONE LOVE
Poetry by Shawn Malzahn
ONE LIFE; ONE LOVE
Gazing down upon thee,
Deep inside I see,
A shimmery shiny spirit,
Reflecting the cosmic me.
'Tis truly true my love,
Since beginning of beginningless time,
Our souls enmeshed entangled as one,
No notion of "yours" and "mine".
Blackness bounds and blankets,
The bare base of outer space,
Upon the cosmic colored canvas,
IT paints the face of a human race.
Descending down while all around,
Separately settled in IT's place,
Mighty marvelous man and woman,
Forever locked in a love-latched lace.
Pure grace,
The heavens shine upon us,
Celestial musicians singing,
Sounding symphonies to remind thus.
What once was one,
Has now become many,
Diversity abounds,
Multitudes of plenty.
Now go you must,
Never shall ye fear,
The source of salvation,
Dwelleth in heart ever near.
Doors to paradise are closing,
Musicians fade away,
Standing naked near your side,
Still starring with words to say.
Sands of time are ticking now,
Come, there's plenty to see and do,
Much in life may happen my love,
Yet forget not it is me who is you.
One life; one love,
Soulmates forever.
