MY SWEET AMBROSIA
Poetry by Shawn Malzahn
Ambrosia,
Emerald green,
Eyes like wild clover,
Tantalized and transfixed,
Gaze cannot be lowered.
Soul of a blossom,
Invigorant like tea,
Magnificently marvelous,
Gorgeous are thee.
Pure in heart,
Mind I admire,
Profound is the power,
Passionate my desire.
Burning bright boundless,
Emotions entangle,
Promiscuous phantasies,
Thoughts I must wrangle.
Silk-smooth skin,
Waistline that's thin,
Eyebrow's arched,
Jawline tucked in.
Golden-brown hair,
Strawberry tint,
Lavender fragrant,
Ocean breeze hint.
Longing your love,
Awaiting your affection,
Crafty conversations,
Deep introspection.
Disclose my dear,
How do you feel,
Down your defenses,
Let passion be real.
At night all alone,
Restless up late,
Focused on you,
Constantly contemplate.
You're the one,
Helping heart flutter,
Thinking your name,
Speaking I stutter.
Know this truth,
Conclude for certain,
Connection is strong,
Behind closed curtain.
Our bond is beautiful,
Buoyant and blissful,
Compassionately captivating,
Love by the fistful.
