THE BLIND WOMAN WHO COULD SEE

A story of remembrance & gratitude

Once upon a time there was a beautiful blind girl who hated herself (and the world) purely for the fact that she was blind. The only person she did not hate was her loving boyfriend, as he was the only one that was always there for her. One day the young woman said to her boyfriend that if she could only see the world as he did, she would accept his hand in marriage.

One day, someone anonymously donated a pair of exquisitely exotic eyes to this young blind maiden. Now she could see everything, including her boyfriend!

Her boyfriend then asked her,

“Now that you can see the world as I do, my love, will you marry me?”

The girl was shocked when she seen that her boyfriend was blind too, and as such, refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, only to later write a simple letter to his beloved, saying:

“Just take care of my eyes dear.”

ALWAYS REMEMBER…

When our circumstances in life change, so do the ways in which we “see things”. Sometimes people forget to remember how things were before the change, or all those who have helped them make such changes possible, and thus, might not always be as appreciative as we would like them to be. NEVER forget where you came from, and NEVER forget those who helped you get to where you are today.
